ABOUT SANDY
Sandy has had a blast following this career path and only occasionally wonders what it would’ve been like to stick with Plan A and become an orthodontist. Instead, she was a singer/dancer with both Disney Live! and Warner Bros. Movie World in Gold Coast, Australia and later worked as a horse-riding stunt actor in their Western Action Stunt Show. While building her film/TV resume, she completed her Bachelor of Commerce (Management) degree at Australia’s Bond University and moved into freelance writing, directing and producing video-based training programs for companies such as IndyCar Australia, United Parcel Service, and Warner Bros. Movie World. Her training video “To Be Guest Friendly” earned an Australian Tourism Award for excellence in Training & Development.
After moving back to her native USA, she worked for Employment Learning Innovations as a Senior Instructional Designer for video-based training programs addressing employment law issues such as age and race discrimination in the workplace.
Returning to the freelance life in 1998, she worked extensively as an on camera actor and spokesperson in commercials and corporate videos, as well as in multiple large scale musical theater productions in the famed 4000+ seat Fabulous Fox Theatre alongside some of Broadway’s brightest stars. Pregnancy with her first child led her to the world of voice over, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Sandy also loves to cook and especially garnish, making food as beautiful as it is delicious. She adores her German Shepherd, loves to stay active, and starts to twitch if she goes too long without international travel (hellooooo 2020!).Edgy she is not, but that’s probably obvious from her sunny smile and lack of tatts. She’s been accused of being the kind of woman who gets @#! done and admits that she is a bit of a Monica…but with more of a Rachel heart. If you’re into this type of thing, Sandy is an Enneagram Type 2w3 and a Myers Briggs ENFJ. Her Top 5 Clifton Strengths are Developer, Maximizer, Empathy, Connectedness and Belief. And her Adobe Creative Type is Visionary. For those who understand all that, you now know her really, really well.
Besides the fun and enjoyment of the work itself, Sandy’s other favorite part of working in this dynamic industry is the people. Sandy truly delights in every opportunity to work with teams of masterfully talented and kind Creatives from all over her city and the world.
